CT After School Network
Director of Professional Development/White-Riley-Peterson Policy Fellow
I am the Director of Professional Development for the Connecticut After School Network. Being in the field for the past 22 years, I have worked from a front line staff, site supervisor, program director, district coordinator, to my current position for the past six years. My primary role at the Network is to oversee training, professional and leadership development, program consultation, and quality advising. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Child Development from Southern Connecticut State University; a Master’s degree in Human Services with a concentration in Organizational Management & Leadership from Springfield College, and was also a part of the inaugural class of White-Riley-Peterson Policy Fellows. This fellowship was designed to equip emerging leaders in the field of afterschool and expanded learning with policy tools needed to make sustainable change. The fellowship is a partnership of the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and Furman University. I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of Hartford, researching expanded learning practices that build sustainable relationships and partnerships for afterschool program staff.
