Some districts are calling summer learning a game changer. The difference between enriched summer learning experiences and complete downtime creates an opportunity gap that is hard to overcome for many students. Adding weeks of learning mitigates summer learning loss and builds essential skills and competencies. In this session, representatives from the Rhode Island and California networks will share their successes in both public policy and philanthropic engagement and discuss how they have effectively expanded innovative summer learning programs across their states.
