There is growing interest from the afterschool field, funders and policy-makers to expand STEM opportunities within afterschool and summer programs. With the wide range of curriculum and activities offered, how do we know what high quality STEM programming looks like? During this session participants will explore how quality STEM programming can build off of existing youth development principles, examine a new tool that states and programs can utilize to help discuss and define afterschool STEM quality and learn how one state network developed STEM standards as part of their quality system building.
